Speeches
This program can be tailored for high school students, college students, or young employees. It gives them "secrets for success" that stress the soft career skills that so many young workers lack. It presents practical content that relates to their current experience, and "connects the dots" so that they can understand the importance of having good work skills in order to get a job, succeed at it, and find fulfillment in an entry level job.
This program can be tailored for college staff, or for corporate managers and HR staff. Study after study have shown that recent graduates lack the soft career skills that their employers need, including verbal and written communication skills, the ability to take responsibility for decisions and actions, and having a strong work ethic. These are different from the attitudes and behaviors of those who graduated 20 or even 10 years ago. Staff and managers need to understand the fundamental causes so that they can create effective strategies to help these young workers be more productive. This will improve engagement and retention, without having to disrupt existing corporate structure or culture.
Wearable technology is changing our lives, and not just by counting our steps. This fast-paced presentation samples some of the latest amazing products and applications available now and in the near future, from custom-printed body casts to self-powered heart pacemakers. The editor of Health Tech Insider and international technology expert Alfred Poor, Ph.D. will be your guide to this fascinating field.

Children and Youth
Our recent graduates are struggling in the workplace due to a lack of basic "soft" career skills that employers need but are not getting in their new hires. Also, way too many students start college but do not finish, leaving them with the debt but without the increased earning power of a degree. We need to help students and families make better choices about college education opportunities, put more emphasis on becoming prepared for the workplace, and develop the behaviors and attitudes that will make them valuable employees who find success and fulfillment in their work.
Value to Sponsor
Other Value:My social media engagement is about quality, not quantity. I currently have a Klout score of about 60 (just about in the top 5% of all Klout users). I am not an open networker; I know my LinkedIn contacts and Facebook friends well enough to introduce you to them. I am also outgoing and personable; practical and knowledgeable; and hold myself to the highest ethical standards. You will be proud to have your brand associated with me.
Sponsorship Opportunity
I have found that many high schools are looking for programs for parents and students about college and career issues. I am uniquely qualified to deliver practical and impartial information that can help change lives and boost a student's lifetime earnings. Unfortunately, few schools have funding for outside speakers. I am actively seeking sponsors to help fund my appearance at high schools throughout the U.S.
